I'm Gareth, and since 2004 I've been the person behind the curtain in NHS and private healthcare, sorting the billing, wrangling the admin, keeping practices running while everyone else got on with the actual medicine. Founder of The Private Practice Specialist, where I've supported UK private practices since 2010 and still do exactly that, full-time.

Here's what all those years taught me: nobody actually knows everything, no matter how confident their email signature sounds. The best answer to a tricky problem is almost always "let me ask someone who's dealt with this before," and yet so many people in this world don't have that someone.

So I built one. Private Practice Circle isn't another professional body with a logo and a code of conduct. It's not somewhere that charges you to talk to your own peers, and it's definitely not me pretending I've got it all figured out. It's just a place for the people who keep private practice running to actually find each other.
How This Actually Started
So the founding idea was refreshingly simple: put those people in the same room. Not a stuffy professional association. Not a place with membership fees and a code of conduct nobody reads. Just somewhere medical secretaries, practice managers and admin professionals can swap what they know, ask the question they'd feel silly asking their boss, and occasionally just have someone say "oh yes, that happens to me too."
